With bitter sweet feelings, I am here to let you know there is only ONE more option to enroll in the discounted HypnoBirthing course!
The Monday evening session is full for February, so the only one left before the rate goes back up is Friday's session in February. That course's 5 classes are on Feb. 12th, 19th, 26th, Mar. 4th, 11th. AND THERE ARE ONLY THREE SPOTS! HypnoBirthing is a five-week childbirth education class. Each evening is 3 hours long, from 6pm-9pm. That's a total of 15 hours of information-packed preparation for your labor and birth. Check out the page on that class and the video on the home page for more information.

I am absolutely thrilled that I will be working with one of my peers in the birth world, Kristen Stratton, in offering this new class. This community is in desperate need of options and information for moms who wish to have a VBAC or HBAC (Home Birth After Cesarean). Out of all the childbirth education we could offer parents, this might be the most important for the times and culture we live in.
So many women here are made to feel like their first birth was the result of something their body was incapable of doing, and so they are ready and willing to avoid that supposed issue again. So many women are being told that attempting a VBAC is too risky, when in reality, there are MORE risks associated with repeat cesareans both for mom and for baby. We need more supportive care in the local hospitals for this option. At least students who take this class can know how to get the right support themselves. In a world where technology and cosmetic surgery are thriving, elective surgery is taken lightly. In this case, it shouldn't be. Babies deserve the chance to experience the benefits of labor for their ability to transition to the breathing world. Moms deserve the chance to experience a redemptive process. I can't for parents in the Inland Empire to be empowered with education about having a vaginal birth after a "belly birth." Please keep an eye on the classes tab for this great class which is coming in March of 2016! |
